Discipline and Place in the Social Sciences and the Humanities
LeidenGlobal Lecture Series 'Discipline and Place in the Social Sciences and the Humanities'
Discipline and Place is a lecture series offered to PhD and Research MA students at the LeidenGlobal partner institutions in the fall of each year, from late September to late November, normally on Monday and Thursday from 17.15-18.45 hrs. It offers them an opportunity to reflect on the foundations of the broader field of the Social Sciences and the Humanities, and to position their own research accordingly. Students ideally take it early in their training. Its scope stimulates transregional and transdisciplinary dialogue, in line with international developments in scholarship.
