Workshop by Sjoerd Epe Sijsma

On November 5th LeidenGlobal, Voice4Thought and Taalmuseum Leiden organise Training for Impact: (Res)Ma & PhD students in Leiden learn how to make impact with their research and reach a bigger audience with several workshops, amongst others the workshop Filming.

Workshop Filming

During this workshop you will learn how you can make a short film about your research topic, using you phone, apps and simple equipment. The more material you have on your phone, the better the film will be.

Sjoerd Epe Sijsma is born in Africa and grew up between different cultures. At the age of eight, he swapped the Grassfield of Cameroon for the Dutch polders, where he studied water management and film. Around the world Sjoerd worked as a water engineer, using film as an extension tool. With his own company Eyeses in 2000 he started producing engaged films and images. Eyeses is part of Visual Anthropology projects on how new technology impacts African societies in duress.

Registration required. Costs €15,- (whole day, including lunch & drinks). For registration and more information on the event and other workshops, click here
