by Floor van den Elsen

On April 16th LeidenGlobal, Voice4Thought and Taalmuseum Leiden organise Training for Impact: (Res)Ma & PhD students in Leiden learn how to make impact with their research and reach a bigger audience with several workshops, amongst others the workshop Blogging.

Workshop Blogging

From the 100 people who will read this sentence, only 62 will read the next one. If you’re one of them: hurrah! It’s still okay to bother about writing in this visual-dominated world. You “only” have to do it the right way. Enter: the blog. The mothership of online content. In this workshop, you’ll learn the tools to write an awesome blog. It’s about teasing your audience. About giving away your punch line way too soon. About deleting rather than writing. In all: to tell appealing stories online based on your academic research.

Floor van den Elsen (buro dertig) studied Arts Marketing. She always loved to transform theory into practice and communicating this to a broad audience. She’s now co-owner of communication agency Buro Dertig who work for festivals and creative organisations such as We Are Public, TivoliVredenburg and Museum de Lakenhal.

Registration required. Costs €15,- (whole day, including lunch & drinks). For registration and more information on the event and other workshops, click here
